Missions Trip To Africa > November/December 2010
Location: Mpumalanga, South Africa
Number of Volunteers: Limited to 12 team members
This team works with AIDS orphans and vulnerable children.
Date: Departure November 17th - Return December 14th
Cost: C$3,750.00 Accommodation, Travel and Food Included.
Including non refundable deposit: $300.00

We are currently preparing a team to travel to South Africa during the FIFA 2010 World Cup. This team will be working with kids at soccer clinics in the township near Nelspruit. Kids will not be going to school during world cup. The plan is to have 700 kids come out to a soccer clinic from 9 am to 3 pm from Monday to Friday.
Our Canadian Volunteers will work along side 48 youth leaders from Mumkhulu.org, a local Christian charity.

Reachout To Africa will be hosting a fundraising event on May 14th 2010. All proceeds will be used to fund soccer clinics and help volunteers travel to South Africa in June 2010 to serve in local townships during the FIFA World Cup. For more information see details to the left.

Orchard Camp - This year was fantastic. Many young orphans were helped and given a sense of hope for the future. We still have 3 team members at Hope camp in Swaziland.

Reachout To Africa is excited to announce that we have reached a formal agreement with Thrive Africa to support them and their volunteer staff coming from Canada. We look forward to a close working relationship as we jointly fight the aftermath of the AIDS Pandemic in Southern Africa.
